Since establishing as a nonprofit in April 2024, Malibu Education Foundation organized around a 3-year plan for launch.

We made a positive impact on our school communities in the 2023-2024 school year by:

• Fully funding eight instructional aides across Malibu and Webster Elementary School (four per school) to ensure academic support for our youngest students.

• Contributing towards the funding of arts education programs at both elementary schools to encourage creativity and confidence.

• Launching and funding the Malibu Middle School Athletics Program in Spring 2024, with 6 interscholastic teams and 130 students (half the school) participating, to support the physical and mental health of our middle school students.

This year, Malibu Education Foundation has committed to fundraise to support $740,000 in staff and staffed programs, lifting that burden from the PTAs and Shark Fund.

IN THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR, YOUR DONATIONS TO MALIBU EDUCATION FOUNDATION WILL HELP SUPPORT $740,000 OF FUNDING TOWARDS:

LEARNING RESOURCES:

• Eight Instructional Aides to provide in-classroom support for all elementary school students.

• Math Tutors to empower academic excellence and a Community Service Liaison to inspire community commitment in middle and high school students.

THE ATHLETICS PATHWAY:

• The first-ever Malibu Middle School Athletics Program, established by Malibu Education Foundation in March 2024 as a pathway to high school athletics and offering no-cut interscholastic teams across 10+ sports to promote well-being, teamwork, and lasting bonds.

• A Strength and Conditioning Coach for our high school athletes.

ARTS EDUCATION:

• Elementary school Arts Programs and middle and high school Music Accompanist to foster creativity and confidence.

RECOMMENDED DONATION AMOUNT:

The requested donation is $750 per child or family - and every donation, regardless of the amount, is greatly appreciated and will directly impact our students. This suggested donation is neither a minimum nor a maximum; please give what you can.
