Malibu Education Foundation is actively developing endowment opportunities for donors to leave a legacy for generations of students.

The Van Dyke Endowment for the Arts was established by The Shark Fund in the summer of 2024. An event unveiling the Arlene & Dick Van Dyke Theater raised $200,000 to support Visual and Performing Arts Programs across all four schools.

The endowment was moved to Malibu Education Foundation in February 2025, following a vote by both boards.

In 2025, $5,540 was applied directly to the $116,000 in Visual and Performing Arts grants provided by Malibu Education Foundation to our four schools. This funded:

• Year Round Art Teachers at both elementary school

• A Musical Accompanist in Middle and High School for the performing arts to support plays and performances

The endowment goal is $3,000,000., which would generate approximately $135,000 annually to cover the costs of Visual and Performing Arts programs across our four schools and help further expand the programs currently offered.

You can elect to make a donation directly to the Van Dyke Endowment for the Arts, and that amount will be invested to continue to grow the endowment.
