ENDOWMENT GIFTS
The Van Dyke Endowment for the Arts was established in June 2024. Its value as of June 30, 2024 was $200,000, which was raised in community donations at a theater naming and endowment launch event. Income from this fund will be used to support Visual And Performing Arts education across Malibu public schools. The first disbursement was made In May 2025, with a $5,541 contribution towards the $126,00 which MEF funds annually.
The MEF Endowment will provide MEF with a continuing and sustainable funding source that will expand and enhance the quality of public education in Malibu, now and for generations to come.
Direct contributions to either endowment can be designated through the donation process.
Endowments will provide a reliable source of funding, year after year, ensuring consistent programs for students.
Growth of the endowments through charitable giving and investment gains enables the MEF to provide students with an outstanding, well-rounded curriculum from kindergarten to graduation. When you contribute to one of our endowments, you create a permanent legacy of support for our students.
Malibu Education Foundation has two endowments:

On the Malibu Middle School & Malibu High School campuses, we have special dedications honoring individuals whose passion and service have shaped generations of Malibu students.
With a $2,000 donation, you can add your name to these dedications and your contribution will support the growth of our endowments, creating a lasting legacy for current and future students.

A DICK VAN DYKE 100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

All proceeds support the Van Dyke Endowment for the Arts, funding programs like choir, orchestra, visual arts, and theater across all four Malibu public schools.
