Our Mission

Malibu Education Foundation (MEF) is a community driven fundraising organization dedicated to enhancing the educational journey of every student in Malibu public schools.

MEF pays for teachers and other educators whose positions the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District does not fund or require but our parents and educators consider necessary for a quality education. MEF ensures every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, physically, and creatively.

Founded in 2024, MEF provides a means for parents to invest in superior public education for their children attending Malibu Schools in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.

Initially, MEF will enrich existing programs such as art and athletics. As we grow, our impact on our schools will grow to support rigorous academics and a breadth of educational experiences from kindergarten through high school.

MEF is a California non-profit, public benefit, corporation. It is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The federal tax ID number for the foundation (EIN) is . All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
